Food and Sexual Potency

You are what you eat. That has been proven by philosophers and ancient medicinal practioners and upheld by recent research in the science of nutrition and medicine. Let me throw another old saw, ‘’a sound mind in a sound body’’ does wonders for your sex life.   Let me disabuse the thought if you have been having one, this is not an article on aphrodisiacs. This is all about natural foods that improve your overall health and at the same the same time boosts your potency.

Let me list out what needs to be a part of your diet. Eggs and lean meat are a must as both have zinc, iron and the amino acid, Arginine. Lack of this essential amino acid will have a deleterious effect on your overall health apart from a reduced libido.  Alternate meat with fish and sea food. Fish are high in essential fatty oils and are important for healthy prostaglandins.

If you are a hard core vegan, then see that you have a combination of legumes or beans along with whole grains like rice (brown rice is best)

Do not take vitamin or other supplements unless your doctor tells you to do so. Stuffing yourself to the gills with massive vitamins supplements will do more harm than good.

One particular product that I have no hesitation in recommending is Bee pollen. You can get it any of the well-known health food stores. Bee pollen is actually semen- like product whose purpose is to pollinate and it is believed to be rich in a number of essential nutrients. But keep off hydrogenated oils they will effectively put a spanner in your sexual life.  To go back to the old saw that was quoted at the beginning of this article, “a sound mind in a sound body”, you cannot avoid exercise and exercise in moderation is vital for your sexual life and your general health.

Vaginal itching is the irritation of the skin of the vagina and the surrounding area that is the vulva. The itching may cause a desire to scratch the affected area. Some of the causes of vaginal itching can be traced to detergents or fabric softeners that are still found in underclothes. That means you have not rinsed them well. The other causes could be that you allergic to certain sprays, creams, douches and contraceptive foams.

Sex positions have been uppermost in the minds of people ever since the sexual revolution began in the 60s and began a roller-coaster ride into the future of unbridled sexual free-for-all. The different forms of sexual intercourse were once the purview of dilettantes and free-living souls. Today it has become the subject of every man and woman who is concerned about having a fruitfully satisfying sexual life.

There are only half dozen sex positions and the great Indian classic, Kama Sutra says that there are only four sex positions and all the rest are only variations of the four. The acrobatic and ‘twisted knots’ sex positions are merely salad dressing and nothing more.

Having sex in the morning is said to be a great way to begin the day. It leaves both of you lively, chirpy and full of energy. This is the considered opinion of sex therapists and doctors including yours truly. However it is also known that women prefer sex as a night-time activity whereas man due to the several or more nocturnal erections that he may have had is primed for sex in the morning.

Tantra is not a way” of reclaiming sexual intimacy, that is our birthright,” as some hare-brained tout says. Neither does it offer “a lifetime of sexual bliss.” Tantra does not give one a carte blanche into a world of unbridled sexuality. Tantra is a path meant for the chosen few to attain union with the divinity.

Sexual abuse isn’t that rarest of rare cases, it is common and very often hidden by the family or the victim. Violence against women in the family occurs in both developing and the most developed countries. The trouble is that it is often considered a private matter by the bystanders – that is the kith and kin as well as neighbors, the community and even the governmental agencies. I am sure that in the minds of most of you the image of Jose Frtizel, the Austrian monster is still fresh.
