How to Prevent Premature Ejaculation or Premature Ejection

Premature ejection can not only decrease a man's self-esteem but leaves his partner unsatisfied and sexually frustrated. Because the dysfunction can happen anytime, one must take a proactive approach in practicing ways of how to prevent premature ejaculation. Two of the most effective methods are developing self-confidence and exercising. Read how you can benefit from the two.

Early ejaculation, premature ejection, rapid ejaculation, or rapid climax.. This sexual dysfunction might be known by various names and can be defined in many ways, but men are unanimous in their desire of wanting never to experience having premature ejaculation. It does not only demean the self-confidence of males but robs female partners of the promise of being satiated in any sexual encounter. If you are among the males who have not only experienced having to climax before satisfying the female partner even once or, worse, have ejaculated just seconds after full penetration, you don't have to deal with the problem in the future. The following are ways on how to prevent premature ejaculation:

1) Develop self-confidence in your ability. Believe it or not, one of the causes of prematurely ejaculating is anxiousness over one's capacity to give pleasure to your sexual partner. Because anxiety causes many body processes to go awry and diminishes the sense of control over the entire sexual experience, premature ejaculation can be a result. Think about it. When you are anxious, your heart rate increases to supply blood to those systems which need oxygen most such as the respiratory tract. This shunts blood from the digestive and reproductive tracts. Because adequate blood flow to the penis is essential for control over orgasm, the lack of which results in experiencing the sexual dysfunction.

2) Exercise. Two of the top exercises commonly used to gain control over the pelvic muscles and prevent premature ejection are Kegel and stop and start exercises. While Kegel exercise increases ability to control pelvic muscles especially the bulbocavernosus and pubococcygeus muscles, the stop and start exercise, on the other hand, increases coordination of your mind and your pelvic muscles. Kegel exercise is done by contracting and relaxing the bulbocavernosus and pubococcygeus muscles similar to preventing urination. The stop and start exercise put forth by Masters and Johnson involves bringing on an erection until one begins to feel the tickling sensation, which tells you that you are about to ejaculate. When you start feeling such sensation, you have to use all your effort to control and stop the tickling sensation to prevent ejaculation.
