Sex After Ovulation When Trying To Conceive A Girl Baby: Is This Possible?

Posted: 25/08/2010 |Comments: 0 | Views: 1,076 |

I often write articles that offer tips which help couples chose their baby's gender.  The other day, I had a woman who wrote to me and asked "can sex after ovulation still produce a girl baby? I know that for the best chances, sex should be before ovulation.  But, I'm not really sure of my ovulation day and I'm wondering if I accidentally had intercourse after this, could I still get a girl?" I will answer this question in the following article.

If You Have The Choice, Have Intercourse Before Ovulation If You Want A Girl: I realize that this woman's window of opportunity had already passed.  She'd long ovulated and if this last round of attempts did lead to a pregnancy, her baby's gender has already been decided.  She can't turn back the clock.

But, in a perfect world, you want to conceive three days before ovulation.  The girl sperm are strong and this time line is not a problem. But, three days prior for boy sperm is an eternity.  Many can not survive this.  Now think about this, if the optimum window is three days before ovulation for a girl, and if you, like this woman had sex after ovulation, then one day beyond this window is four days late, and two days is five days late – and so on.

Having Sex After Ovulation But Still Getting A Girl. Can It Be Done?: The odds of the girl sperm still being viable at the point discussed above gets lower with every day.  However, my reader didn't tell me how many days after she was talking about.  And, to be fair, I have no idea how acidic she was.  If she did have a high PH, her odds of getting a daughter would go up because her acidity would greatly help to kill off boy sperm. And, she also did not tell me what intercourse positions she used when trying to conceive.  If she had used shallow penetration, again, she's helping her cause because this too will lower the chances of a boy conception.

So, to directly answer the question, it is possible to get a girl if you have sex after ovulation or late in the window.  But, I believe that things other than timing will often be at play.  To really have the best chance, you'll need to be acidic (achieved through diet or douching) and you'll want to use shallow intercourse positions. If you have two of the three, you'll be much better off than if you only have one or none of the three.

If She Was Able To Start Over: Let's say that my reader's attempts don't result in a pregnancy.  Let's say that she doesn't get pregnant this month and is able to try again.  In this case, I would have her get a saliva ovulation predictor so that she'd no longer be guessing about her ovulation day.  I'd have her stop trying three days before. And, I'd have her determine her acidity using PH tester strips.  If her result was not sky high, I'd start her on a diet and a douching regimen to change this. And, I'd help her come up with the right sexual positions when the time was right.

Conceive A Girl is a website I put together to offer step by step instructions, hints, tips, and resources for couples wishing to conceive a baby girl. You'll find resources for douche recipes and food lists, as well as ovulation predictors and PH test strips. Take a look if you like at http://conceive-a-girl-baby.com/

People who email me often confess that, when they are trying to conceive, they will have sex as much as possible during their fertility cycle so that they have the most chances to actually conceive. Some of them ask if this method will affect or influence the gender of their baby. It can. I will explain why in the following article.

I heard from someone who said, in part "I really want a girl baby. But looking back at my cycle, I'm realizing with a sinking heart that I had sex on my ovulation day and I know that this means that a boy is more likely. I am crushed by this. My question is whether anyone has ever had sex on their ovulation day and still had a girl?"

I have a couple of blogs set up to help couples naturally chose their baby's sex. A couple of common questions that I am often asked are "how does my PH affect my baby's sex?" or "do you need to be acidic or alkaline if I want a boy or a girl?" I will answer these questions in this article and will explain the science behind them as well as discuss some other variables that can effect the outcome of whether you conceive a boy or a girl.

I heard from someone who said: "my husband and I are trying to have a boy baby. I've read that we should limit sex until the day that we try to conceive and then have sex as much as we can on the conception day. Is this correct? Is it possible to have too much or too little sex when trying to conceive?" I will try to address these concerns in the following article.

I recently heard from a someone who asked me, in part: "We are trying to conceive a boy baby. I have been told and have read that boy sperm are weaker. And I had a friend suggest that because of this, I should try to conceive in the morning since a man is said to have a higher sperm count in the morning. She also said that she'd heard that men have higher quality sperm after a good night's sleep and after abstaining from sex for the hours that they are asleep. Is all of this true?

I was recently asked if having high levels of estrogen make you more likely to conceive a boy or a girl. This is a pretty loaded question. Obviously, being on any type of hormone replacement therapy is counter to attempting to become pregnant. And different women have different levels that are going to be "normal" or typical for them. However, when the estrogen in your body is naturally rising, this does provide some indications that you are in a certain point in your reproductive cycle.

I recently received correspondence from a woman who was trying to become pregnant with a boy baby. She had read that it's important to conceive on the day of ovulation. And someone had told her that if she were successful with this timing, the result would always be a son. She asked me, in part: "If you're able to conceive on the day of ovulation, does this always result in a boy baby?"

If you're trying to conceive, conventional wisdom will tell you to use deep penetration with a pillow propped underneath your hips at a certain fertile time of the month and to cap off the process with your legs elevated for up to twenty minutes. This process is meant to place the sperm as close as possible to the egg, giving it less time to become compromised and deteriorated. This is good advice is you want a boy baby, but bad advice if you want a girl.

'm often asked what foods should be avoided when you're attempting gender selection at home or are trying to chose your baby's gender without an expensive clinic. I'm often asked questions like "what foods should I eliminate from my diet if I'm trying to chose my baby's gender or trying to conceive a boy or a girl?" The answer to that question depends on which gender you are trying for.

This article will focus on which sexual positions help to conceive a girl baby. I will also explain why and how this variable is important.

I heard from a woman who had just learned that the timing of her sexual intercourse (as it relates to ovulation) could have an influence on her baby's gender. And, since she thought she may have already conceived, she wanted to know which gender was more likely. She said, in part: "I have been checking for ovulation for the last three weeks. This morning, I actually got a positive. So, I woke my husband up and we had sex."

Most of the questions that I get about choosing your baby's gender concern specifics regarding your regimen before you attempt to have sex in order to conceive. Occasionally though, I hear from someone who has already had what they hope is conception sex and who is, after the fact, trying to influence their baby's gender.

I often hear from couples who want to have sex very frequently in an attempt to become pregnant. They figure that since each instance of intercourse gives them a chance to conceive, why not have intercourse as often as possible so that you will have many separate chances to successfully become pregnant. And many couples do have success with this method. But what happens if you have a preference as to which gender you conceive?

I sometimes hear from couples who are trying to gauge the right time of the month to try to conceive a girl or a boy baby. For whatever reason, many seem to see "the end of the month" as an optimal time. I often hear comments like: "if I have sex and conceive at the end of the month, will I get a girl or a boy baby? What date is best?"
